9 December 2025 – The Current Account Switch Service has today released the UK’s Regional Rankings for the third quarter of 2025.
The Service recorded the busiest quarter so far this year with 265,083 switches in Q3 2025
Northern Ireland was the busiest region for switching in Q2 with 5,667 switches, followed by Birmingham (5,558) and Sheffield (4,626)
Half of UK adults with over £15,000 in their current account have recently received financial support from a loved one
The Bank of England is cautiously trying to encourage economic growth. High levels of inflation have certainly complicated the picture, but reviving the economy is clearly a priority this time round.
