General Counsel

Purpose of Job:

The Role will be part of the Legal team, within the General Counsel’s Directorate.

The incumbent will be required to liaise with the various Directorates and Department Heads.

In collaboration with the Head of Legal and the wider Legal Team, the incumbent will be responsible for ensuring that various Directorates in Pay.UK are provided with high quality regulatory and other legal advice across the Pay.UK business.

The incumbent will proactively support the management of legal risk across the organization and will assist with the implementation and execution of Legal processes and controls.

Purpose of Job:

The Role will be part of the Legal team, within the General Counsel’s Directorate.

The incumbent will be required to liaise with colleagues across the various Directorates of Pay.UK.

In collaboration with the Head of Legal and the wider Legal Team, the incumbent will support the provision of legal advice across Pay.UK and the retail payments ecosystem in relation to a wide range of activities, including participation for those who offer Pay.UK services, regulatory and commercial obligations, finance strategy, procurement and contract management.

Act as a subject matter expert in specific practice area(s) of law, support the management of legal risk across Pay.UK and assist with the implementation and execution of Legal processes and controls.

Purpose of Job:

Provides general administrative support to General Counsel in the provision of legal advice and support across Pay.UK and retail payments ecosystem.
Assists with the provision of legal capability supporting a range of activities across Pay.UK, including legal research, contract management, preparation of draft legal documentation, maintenance of registers and issues logs.

Operations

Purpose of Job:

The Service Line Manager ensures there is a single point of coordination for all stakeholders and plays a key role in ensuring the matrix model efficiently works across the core operations within the Operations Directorate; and acts as a liaison for regulators, and participants in respect of all scheme related issues.
The Service Line Manager supports the Head of Service Lines and Service Line Senior Manager in ownership for scheme specific deliverables and oversees the running of the payment and managed services as a business.

Purpose of Job:

Engages with potential Direct Participants to help them determine whether an Pay.UK service will be a suitable service to help them achieve their business objectives.
Supports prospective participants develop their onboarding plan and helps shepherd them through implementation.

Manages portfolio of clients from initial engagement through to onboarding, fully understanding the participants’ service requirements, across all payments and managed services, while ensuring enhanced risk control. Ensures the onboarding activities are executed according to plans and in alignment with the set requirements and there is a robust due diligence process in place.
