Become certified to print bank giro credits
Certification is open to printers wishing to produce bank giro credits (BGCs) that go through the credit clearing system in the UK. Members of the Cheque Printer Accreditation Scheme (CPAS) are also accredited to print BGCs.
To join, a firm must:
- Complete an application form and return it to cpashelpdesk@wearepay.uk
- Print BGCs according to the requirements of Standard 3.2 – Automated Processing of Vouchers (Credits)
- Be able to comply with the required rules and regulations.
The approval process involves the printer preparing sample vouchers for testing by the relevant bank relationship manager to confirm that the vouchers comply with the requirements of Standard 3.2 – Automated Processing of Vouchers (Credits).
