London, 1 July 2026: Pay.UK, the recognised operator and standards body for the UK’s interbank retail payment systems, has gone live with a flexible model for liquidity requirements for Faster Payments Net Sender Caps (NSC), further facilitating access for a wider range of participants.

23 June 2026 – The Current Account Switch Service has today released the UK’s Regional Rankings for the first quarter of 2026. Between January and March, Birmingham remained top of the list with 8,179 switches, followed by Newcastle upon Tyne (7,741) and Sheffield (6,928).

The figures represent a 43% increase verses Q1 2025
